Rutile Type

Introduction

Titanium dioxide is an inorganic chemical raw material, which is widely used in industrial production such as coatings, plastics, rubber, papermaking, printing inks, chemical fibers, and cosmetics. Titanium dioxide has two crystal forms: rutile and anatase. Rutile titanium dioxide, that is, R-type titanium dioxide; anatase titanium dioxide, that is, A-type titanium dioxide. Rutile titanium dioxide has excellent properties such as high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high strength, and small specific gravity. Compared with anatase titanium dioxide, it has higher weather resistance and better photooxidative activity. Rutile type (R type) has a density of 4.26g/cm3 and a refractive index of 2.72. R-type titanium dioxide has the characteristics of good weather resistance, water resistance and not easy to turn yellow. Rutile titanium dioxide has many advantages in various applications. For example, because of its own structure, the pigment it produces is more stable in color and easier to color. It has strong coloring ability and does not damage the upper surface. Color medium, and the color is bright, not easy to fade.

Application field

Titanium dioxide is not only used as a colorant in the rubber industry, but also has the functions of reinforcement, anti-aging and filling. Adding titanium dioxide to rubber and plastic products, under sunlight, it is resistant to sunlight, does not crack, does not change color, has high elongation and acid and alkali resistance. Titanium dioxide for rubber is mainly used in automobile tires, rubber shoes, rubber flooring, gloves, sports equipment, etc., and generally anatase is the main type. However, for the production of automobile tires, a certain amount of rutile products are often added to enhance the anti-ozone and anti-ultraviolet capabilities.

Titanium dioxide is also widely used in cosmetics. Because titanium dioxide is non-toxic and far superior to lead white, almost all kinds of fragrance powder use titanium dioxide to replace lead white and zinc white. Only 5%-8% of titanium dioxide is added to the powder to obtain permanent white color, making the fragrance more creamy, with adhesion, absorption and covering power. Titanium dioxide can reduce the feeling of greasy and transparent in gouache and cold cream. Titanium dioxide is also used in various other fragrances, sunscreens, soap flakes, white soaps and toothpaste.

Coatings industry: Coatings are divided into industrial coatings and architectural coatings. With the development of construction industry and automobile industry, the demand for titanium dioxide is increasing day by day, mainly rutile type.

The enamel made of titanium dioxide has strong transparency, small weight, strong impact resistance, good mechanical properties, bright colors, and is not easy to pollute. Titanium dioxide for food and medicine is titanium dioxide with high purity, low heavy metal content and strong hiding power.
