Introduction

Potassium permanganate is a strong oxidizer with the chemical formula KMnO₄, black-purple crystal with blue metallic luster, odorless, soluble in water and lye, slightly soluble in methanol, acetone and sulfuric acid. It is widely used as an oxidizing agent in chemical production. Potassium permanganate is one of the strongest oxidants greatly influenced by pH and possesses the strongest oxidation capacity in the acidic solution.

It can be used as oxidant, disinfectant, bactericide, purifying agent etc. Such as drinking water purification, poisonous gas absorbent, carbon dioxide refining etc. It’s also widely used in Chemical industry, metallurgy, agriculture, API, textiles, soil remediation, water treatment, graphene oxide, oil, military industry etc.

Characteristic

Dark purple crystal with metallic color, needle or quick sand shape crystallization. Soluble in water. The color for water solution is purple. Strong oxidant. Taste sweet. Pungent.

Application

Storage

–Shady and cool ventilated warehouse.

–Away from inflammable/Reducing agent/active metal powder/chemical compound of sulfur/phosphorus/ammonium.
