Plastic Freezing Microtube Self Standing 1.5ml Screw Tube

Introduction

Freeze storage tubes are also known as strain preservation tubes, magnetic bead preservation tubes and magnetic bead freeze storage tubes. Common methods of strain preservation used in microbiology laboratories include the milk method, the glycerol method and the slant method. The complexity varies and the results vary greatly.

Strain Preservation Tube Composition

The strain preservation tube consists of three main parts: the preservation solution, the preservation tube and the small porcelain beads. It is a laboratory container for preserving strains and is used for the preservation or transfer of strains and generally has 25 small porcelain beads inside the strain preservation tube for the adsorption and preservation of bacteria. During use, the bacteria are inoculated in the storage tube and placed at -20°C or -80°C for long-term storage. (-20°C for one year, -80°C for two years).

Steps For Using Freeze Storage Tubes

Pick a fresh culture from a pure culture of bacteria and inoculate it with a suspension of approximately 3-4 mcg.

How to use lyophilisation tubes safely:

1. the use of lyophilised storage tubes should be strictly required to put the lyophilised tubes into the vapour phase layer of liquid nitrogen or in the refrigerator.

2. It is recommended that you wear a lab coat, cotton gloves and operate on a safe laboratory bench. If possible, wear goggles or a protective face shield. Please take extra care as the room temperature is higher in summer than in winter.

3. During storage of frozen cells, the freezing temperature of the tubes must be uniform. Uneven freezing will result in the development of ice plugs, which will inhibit the transfer of fluid temperature on both sides, thereby creating dangerously high pressures and causing damage to the tubes.
