Thermal paper foundation paper is a widely used printing medium that is mostly utilized in printers and point-of-sale (POS) systems. Thermally sensitive substrates and coatings make up the majority of its basic ingredients.

Thermal paper rolls of base paper are often made of soft, dependable wood pulp. Coated and uncoated are the other two categories. Base paper is typically white or yellow in color and has no thermal coating. It is appropriate for situations where a specific printing outcome is required, such as when creating bar codes, labels, etc. Thermal paper is created from a long roll of paper that has a thermal coating applied to the underlying paper. It is excellent for printing different bills, bank card vouchers, and other documents.
