Aluminium pigment powder

Aluminium pigment powder use aluminium as the main raw materials, during the process of resin coating,milling,sieving,oil removing, dispersing,recoating,makes it has flake shape particles.

APPLICATION Typically apply to powder coatings,oil inks,masterbatches,printing,textile,etc. In water-bome or acidic/alkaline paints,regular aluminium pigment powder can be oxidized and become dark. To avoid this situation,transparent powder finish should be recommended.

CHARACTERISTICS It is mainly used in automobile coating, coil coating, high grade plastic paint, toy paint and various high grade ink inAluminium pigment powder has flake shape particles. The particles float at the surface of finished coatings, forming a shield to against corrosive gases and liquids, it provide continuous and compact surface of coated articles. Aluminium pigment encapsulated with material of strong weatherability can endure long time corrosion of sunlight,gas and rain, thus it provides excellent protection to coatings.

USAGES Melt-Extrusion This method heats and extrudes the mixture of aluminium pigment and resin, followed by a disintegration process. The advantage of this method is good color consistency in coatings. However, aluminium particles are easily broken,reducing its metallic effects. Only used for hammer-effect coatings. Dry-Blending Aluminium pigment is directly added into resins and mixed by mixer. The advantage of this method is low shear force protcting the integrity of aluminium particles and fine metallic effect of coatings. The disadvantage is film defets such as cloudy effects, picture frame effects generated by different electrical charge between aluminium pigments and resins. Aluminium pigments tend to accumulate on borders of objects where strong electrical field exists. Bonding Process Aluminium pigment is directly added into resins and mixed by mixer. The advantage of this method is low shear force protcting This method mixes aluminium pigments on resin particles by physical or chemical means. Typically, it heats up aluminium pigment and resin to soften point of resin, so that aluminium particles can be recycled easily. Bonded aluminium powder coatings are free of defects such as cloudy effects, and easy to handle. However,special bonding machine is reqired.

WARM TIPS Notes 1. Please test the product quality before using. 2. Avoid any conditions that will suspend or float powder particles in the air,keep away from high temperature,fire during using process. 3. Tighten the drums cover of the product soon after using it, storage temperature should be at 15℃-35℃. 4. Store in cool,ventilated,dry place. After long time storage, the pigment quality might be changed, please re-tested before using. Emergency measures 1. Once a fire breaks out,please use chemical powder or the fire-resistant sands to put it. No water should be used to put out the fire. 2. If the pigment enters eyss by accident,should wash them with clean water for at least 15minutes and turn to doctor for consultation in time. Waste treatment Small amount of discarded aluminium pigment can only be burnt in a safe place and under the supervision of authorized persons.
